OKLAHOMA WRITERS' FEDERATION CONFERENCE CONTEST RESULTS 
 
The Write Ingredients had a banner occasion at the award dinner on the last night of the conference. We collected fifteen awards, with Kristl raking in five on her own. Our group had wins in the first four categories. Kristl played a great imitation of a jack-in-the-box as she collected her own awards as well as the Write Ingredients members who could not attend the conference.
 
Those who attended the conference made great contacts with agents and editors over the weekend. I think I speak for all when I say the second biggest highlight of the weekend (the first was winning those awards ) was spending happy hour on Friday with author Tess Gerritsen. She entertained us with her tales, including being part of a team who catscanned a mummy.
 
And let's not forget the Basket Wars. Kudos to Laurie Fraser and Ann James for putting together the WINNING basket. Dianne McCartney sent us a warm thank you for the basket which she won with her bid of $160.00. She also included her congratulations for the awesome Write Ingredients wins.
